Welcome  to First Baptist Church of Hutchins, Texas.  We hope you'll take time to browse through the site for information you desire concerning opportunities to join us in worship, on mission, and in prayer, as we seek to honor the sacrifice Jesus made on our behalf.

We are a small congregation of people that worship in a traditional pattern. Country church would probably best describe our make up. We are a "come as you are and stay as long as you like" folk, that have found the most important elements of life to be loving one another as we serve together. We along with Christian believers everywhere, make up the bride of Christ, and we eagerly anticipate His return.

If you are searching for a place where you'll be accepted and loved as you grow to know the Christian faith, then First Baptist might be the best place for you to start. Here you can make friends that will encourage you to grow and love you along the journey. Why not come out and see for yourself? If you have questions, suggestions, or a prayer request please feel free  to leave me a personal message, or give me a call. I'd love to hear from you.

Hosea 10:12 Sow for yourselves righteousness; reap steadfast love; break up your fallow ground, for it is the time to seek the LORD, that he may come and rain righteousness upon you.

Man-Up Monday nights 6:00 to 7:30 at Hutchins Fire Department Buildingm 1525 Wintergreen Rd

Tutoring Tuesdays is 5:30 to 6:30 in the Atwell Public Library. Peggy Chadwick, Ronda Sutton And Rain Harlan will be available to assist all students.

John 10:10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.

There is a vast difference in surviving and thriving. People with a survivor mentality are held from seeing the opportunities ahead because they have only vision for making it through the moment. It's a daily chore where happiness is suffocated by worry and the concerns of barely enough adds undue stress. Surviving spiritually is often the result of having a k...nowledge of the will of God, but refusing to submit oneself to the will of God. We know God's word is filled with promises and precepts that if we will apply them to our lives we can in fact live the abundant life, but knowing and doing are at opposite ends of the spectrum.
Faith is required to move one out of the survivalist mode and into the abundant life mode. Faith that trusts what Jesus has to offer is better than anything I can manufacture on my on. Faith that sees beyond the self made horizons of glass ceilings. Faith that expects and hopes for opportunities that cannot be had in the power of self, but leans totally on the work of the cross.

Abundant life awaits anyone who places their faith fully in Christ Jesus.

Are you thriving or are you surviving???
