Welcome to First Baptist Church of Hutchins, Texas. We hope you'll take time to browse through the site for information you desire concerning opportunities to join us in worship, on mission, and in prayer, as we seek to honor the sacrifice Jesus made on our behalf.
We are a small congregation of people that worship in a traditional pattern. Country church would probably best describe our make up. We are a "come as you are and stay as long as you like" folk, that have found the most important elements of life to be loving one another as we serve together. We along with Christian believers everywhere, make up the bride of Christ, and we eagerly anticipate His return.
If you are searching for a place where you'll be accepted and loved as you grow to know the Christian faith, then First Baptist might be the best place for you to start. Here you can make friends that will encourage you to grow and love you along the journey. Why not come out and see for yourself? If you have questions, suggestions, or a prayer request please feel free to leave me a personal message, or give me a call. I'd love to hear from you.

Hosea 10:12 Sow for yourselves righteousness; reap steadfast love; break up your fallow ground, for it is the time to seek the LORD, that he may come and rain righteousness upon you.

Luke 7:39-47 Now when the Pharisee who had invited him saw this, he said to himself, "If this man were a prophet, he would have known who and what sort of woman this is who is touching him, for she is a sinner." And Jesus answering said to him, "Simon, I have something to say to you." And he answered, "Say it, Teacher." "A certain moneylender had two debtors. One owed five hundred denarii, and the other fifty. When they could not pay, he cancelled the debt of both. Now which ...of them will love him more?" Simon answered, "The one, I suppose, for whom he cancelled the larger debt." And he said to him, "You have judged rightly." Then turning toward the woman he said to Simon, "Do you see this woman? I entered your house; you gave me no water for my feet, but she has wet my feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair. You gave me no kiss, but from the time I came in she has not ceased to kiss my feet. You did not anoint my head with oil, but she has anointed my feet with ointment. Therefore I tell you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven—for she loved much. But he who is forgiven little, loves little."
The unnamed woman offers a wordless worship from the depths of a sin filled heart. She need not say a thing for her actions are pointing out her brokenness.
It seems as though that Simon knew her sins and so much so that he questioned whether or not if Jesus was really prophet, because Jesus had not prevented her from touching him.
The parable tells of forgiven debts and the fruit of that forgiveness - love.
Jesus concludes that love is the fruit of forgiveness and that much love comes from forgiving much. Jesus is telling Simon, you have not loved as you should because you don't understand your need of forgiveness.
Likewise all who fail to love have failed to realize the fullness of work that was done by our Savior on the cross. Love flows from a forgiven heart, therefore we ought be those known by our love.
