1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.
We understand that God’s will is not about situations, circumstances, and environments as much as how we respond to those things. If you are really concerned about being in God’s will, you might consider a self-examination.
Ask yourself these three questions: 1) Am I full of joy? 2) Do I pray? 3) Do I give thanks?
Now be careful that you don’t qualify your answer based on the circumstances or situations that you are facing. For instance, I am full of joy occasionally, I pray when I can find time, I give thanks when my circumstances allow for thanksgiving. No, Paul’s words are clear: always, continually, in all circumstances this is God’s will for you. Are you living according to God’s will for you, or have you allowed your trials to dictate how you will respond to God? God is a restorer not a destroyer, ask him to restore you to his will for you.
